Known locally as “la tierra de sol y buen vino” (the land of sun and good wine) and set against a stunning backdrop that is the Andes Mountains Mendoza is a “must” destination for anyone visiting Argentina.

Mendoza ’s capital is a garden city of tree-lined streets and sculpted parks. Every leafy town in the province is surrounded by hundreds of vineyards and farms producing everything from olives to peaches.

There are over 1500 wineries in Mendoza of which 40% are open for tourism. Famous for it´s fiery, red Malbec Mendoza attracts wine lovers from all over the world.   Wineries offer regular tastings from barrells and tanks to “special tatings” on horseback and by hot air balloon. Argentine wine is fast becoming the new sensation.

Mendoza is the capital of the Cuyo province and is also home to Mt. Aconcagua - the highest mountain outside of the Himalayas.  The Andes Mountain range provides a spectacular backdrop to the city and is the perfect base to enjoy out-door activiites such as trekking and rafting.
