With all its tall peaks and crystalline waters, the Argentine Lake District is one of the World´s most spectacular mountains playgrounds – and remarkably un-known and unexplored by forigners.

The best way to cover the numerous National Parks and stunning lakeside scenery is to base yourself at one of the towns and strike out by car or boat to explore.
Nahuel Huapi National Park is the oldest, biggest and most visited National Park in Argentina.
It covers 705 square kilometres incorporating the towns of Bariloche and Villa
Bariloche, perched on the edge of Lake Nahuel Huapi in the heart of the Argentina's first National Park, is rightly considered to be one of the most beautiful places on the continent.

San Martín de los Andes is one of the few towns in patagonia that is aesthetically pleasing in it´s own right with its Alpine-style houses and log cabins. Parque Nacional Lanín is accessible from here and is Argentinas third biggest park, boasting 35 lakes, dense alpine forests, the extinct Volcano – Lanín and abundant wild-life. There are more than 50 Mapuche communities inthe Park.
